Hailed by The New York Times at its Carnegie Hall début as “invariably energetic and finely burnished” the prize-winning Catalyst Quartet is comprised of top laureates and alumni of the internationally acclaimed Sphinx Competition. Catalyst’s Kohl début offers a brilliant program highlighted by Bedřich Smetana’s haunting autobiographical String Quartet No. 1 in E minor, “From My Life”.
