Founded at Yale University in 1999 and based in New York City since 2007, the Enso String Quartet has distinguished itself as one of the top-rank American chamber ensembles performing today. Winner of numerous awards including the Concert Artists Guild competition and Banff International String Quartet Competition, the quartet has been in residence at Rice University and Northern Illinois University. Enso enjoys a busy international touring and recording schedule, and also finds time to teach and mentor the next generation of musicians.
