Bay Area Latin Jazz superstar and 5-time GRAMMY nominee John Santos and his Sextet will be joined by Venezuelan Jazz-Fusion multi-instrumentalist Jackeline Rago and her VNote Ensemble for a rousing concert and celebration to conclude a year of festivities marking the Kohl Mansion’s 100th anniversary.
John Santos Sextet John Santos, is one of the foremost exponents of Afro-Latin music in the world today. Known for his innovative use of traditional forms and instruments in combination with contemporary music, he has earned much respect and recognition as an educator, composer, and record and event producer.
Vnote Ensemble Hailed for its spirited performances and fascinating fusion of Venezuelan folk music with adventurous jazz explorations,the VNote Ensemble gives voice to the hidden treasure of Venezuelan music. Original compositions, keen arrangements and great musicianship blend together to deliver a unique musical sound.
