Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Music at Kohl presents the world premiere of Intonations: Songs from the Violins of Hope, a dramatic song cycle by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer. Mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and violinist Daniel Hope will be joined by a quartet of musicians from the San Francisco Opera Orchestra to perform on instruments from the Violins of Hope collection.
