Chamber Music Concerts and Events
Music at Kohl Mansion (MAKM) presents an annual series of international chamber concerts featuring some of the world’s most celebrated ensembles at the magnificent Kohl Mansion in Burlingame. Alongside the mainstage concert series, MAKM hosts events and offers music in San Mateo and surrounding cities in San Mateo County. The concerts always feature professional musicians and include a range of events, from free family concerts to musical conversations in libraries, senior centers, and various community venues across the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula.

Family Series — Free Concerts for All Ages
Music at Kohl Mansion’s Free Family Concerts bring the joy of live chamber music to children and families throughout San Mateo County. As the Peninsula’s longest-running chamber music presenter, MAKM extends its mission beyond the concert hall through partnerships with the San Mateo Public Library, Palo Alto City Library, and other community organizations. These interactive performances introduce young audiences to world-class musicians in welcoming, accessible settings where curiosity and participation are encouraged. As part of more than 140 community events planned for Season 44, our Free Family Concerts help fulfill MAKM’s mission to uplift, inspire, and connect people through the power of music while making exceptional musical experiences accessible to all families.
