Chamber Music Concerts and Events
Music at Kohl Mansion (MAKM) presents an annual series of international chamber concerts featuring some of the world’s most celebrated ensembles at the magnificent Kohl Mansion in Burlingame. Alongside the mainstage concert series, MAKM hosts events and offers music in San Mateo and surrounding cities in San Mateo County. The concerts always feature professional musicians and include a range of events, from free Family Concerts to musical conversations in libraries, senior centers, and various community venues across the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula.

Family Series — Free Concerts for All Ages
Family Concerts are fun, interactive concerts that expose audiences of all ages to the music, poetry, language, history, and customs of many world cultures. Each one-hour concert, performed without intermission, offers audience members an opportunity to hear and interact with distinguished, award-winning musical ensembles in an informal, family-friendly setting. Admission is free to these lively, engaging concerts aimed at youth of all ages, families and adult audiences.

In partnership with the San Mateo Public Library, Music at Kohl presents a free Concert for All Ages with the lively San Francisco-based quartet GRUPO FALSO BAIANO. Grupo Falso brings the joy of Brazilian choro music to audiences in Northern California. Choro, one of Brazil’s earliest popular musics originating in the 1870s, remains a vibrant, evolving style in Brazil and beyond.
